This past weekend was the Grapehounds Wine Tour in the beautiful Finger Lakes Region of New York. I stayed in Watkins Glen which was right in the middle of everything. The main event took place at the Pompous Ass Winery. The grounds were level, well manicured and there was plenty of space for parking.
There were 28 participating wineries, two breweries and one distillery. There were also 24 vendors inside 2 huge tents. Everyone had plenty of room to move around and see all of the wonderful greyhound apparel, crafts, collars, jewelry and art. I loved the huge socializing tent. We spread out our blanket and had a place to rest in between all of the activity.
This was my first visit to Grapehounds and it was a greyt event. I don’t drink wine but had a great time anyways and would definitely come back again. Grapehounds happens twice a year. The first event is in May in Virginia and then in July in New York. You can find more information on the Grapehounds website at www.grapehounds.com.
